LISS Update!
Maryland Community Connection has experienced interment system difficulty with LISS computer system since June 30, 2012, in which all LISS requests have not been able to be entered for FY 13. As of Friday, July 13, 2012 Maryland Community Connection’s system is up and running. LISS staff is hard at work putting in LISS requests now. MCC had a few families that put in LISS request around May and June 2012 however we ran out of funding. MCC has been instructed not to send denial letters to those families and make those families reapply but instead hold their LISS applications to process them when the new funding for FY 13 is released. Families that have turned in LISS request after July 1, 2012 will be processed after we complete the May & June 2012 requests.
To help us process as many LISS requests please hold off on requesting any regular status updates, as we need as much time possible placed towards making a decision on LISS request(s) in 10 business days. MCC will working diligently to have a decision made in 10 business days for all request and asks that if you have not received status of application via mail in 15 business days, to then make an inquiry about the status of your applicant’s application.
