Rolling Access (learn more)
Maryland Community Connection is proud to announce we have been awarded the on-going Rolling Access Grant for DDA. Families in need of low intensity support services may access them directly through MCC’s Rolling Access. MCC will provide Family Support Services for at least 13 children and Individual Support Services for 25 adults total combined in FY 08 and FY 09 if they do not receive DDA services except case management from Resource Connection.
“Low level supports”, sometimes called “rolling access”, are those supports identified by the family that may be provided for less than $870.00 for children and $960.00 for adults by June 30, 2008; however, these supports are limited by the extent to which resources are available. This helps families to receive support quickly without going through the full eligibility process. Families need only verify the child’s developmental disability. Services that may be covered by Rolling Access include respite, purchase of assistive devices, adaptive equipment, camp, and uninsured medical expenses.
